 Fred
First has been a physical
therapist and biology teacher. He still doesn't know what he wants
to do when he grows up, but it will include the written and spoken
word and digital photography. His blog, Fragments from Floyd, lead
to his first book, Slow Road Home--a Blue Ridge Book of Days. His
next book will deal with nature and place and be full-color. Fred
and his wife have been Floyd County residents since 1997, enjoying
both the community and solitude of the southern mountains way of
life.
