From the Baroque classic mandolin concerto by Antonio Vivaldi to modern Bluegrass masterpieces, the music will bridge traditional and original compositions in innovative combinations. This crossover musical event is the perfect combination for our vibrant and growing arts scene in Floyd, as we celebrate the music of Virginia’s Blue Ridge.” Said David Stewart Wiley
The second concert on October 6th will feature the Kandinsky Trio, consisting of violinist Benedict Goodfriend, cellist Alan Weinstein, and pianist Elizabeth Bachelder playing chamber music. Both concerts begin at 7:30pm and take place in the community room at the center.
A Meet-the-Artist Champagne and Wine Reception will follow each concert. Tickets are $45.00 per person for the series, $25.00 in advance or $30.00 at the door for each concert.
